Maryland’s Office of Overdose Response hosts quarterly discussions to provide an opportunity for our local partners to discuss common challenges and best practices for implementing their programs.
May 12, 2025 – Charm City Care Connection
This was the inaugural meeting, which featured a presentation from Charm City Care Connection on co-located services.
August 25, 2025 – Penn North Recovery
This session featured a presentation by Penn North Recovery regarding including wraparound care for clients. It will also address the recent mass overdose incident in Baltimore City.
January 20, 2026 – Helping Up Mission
In this session Helping Up Mission Daniel Stoltzfus moderated a panel discussion about navigating barriers to care for people who use drugs and those in recovery.

As required by Maryland House Bill 1131 of 2025, Maryland’s Office of Overdose Response provides support to a workgroup that is currently studying access to buprenorphine in the state. The workgroup will examine a variety of topics related to the current status of buprenorphine services in Maryland, including access to care, regions with gaps in services, funding, innovative strategies to expand access, and more.
