Celebration of Life: HARM REDUCTION WORKERS EDITION
This year for International Overdose Awareness Day lets come together as fellow harm reductionists and practice community care. No serious work talk, no expectations for networking as if you’re on the clock, just a moment in time to see one another as human beings who share at least one thing in common– the love for people who use drugs.
We observe this day in order to honor those we have lost to overdose, but we can also celebrate them as well as those who are still with us. We’ll do so with a night of snacks, drinks and an opportunity to leave serious work talk behind in order to create community with others who understand the work we do.
There will be a “getting to know you” bingo with the prize of talking to people you dont already know. There will also be a phone that records messages with two prompts
- Tell us a fun story or favorite memory about someone you’ve lost to overdose
- How does harm reduction fit into Recovery Month?
See you there!!
