SUMMARY:Opioid Restitution Fund Advisory Council (Mallinckrodt Committee Special Session)
DESCRIPTION:Maryland’s Opioid Restitution Fund (ORF) was created in 2019 to receive all funds awarded to the State of Maryland through legal settlements with prescription opioid manufacturers and distributors. In 2022\, Maryland established the ORF Advisory Council to provide recommendations regarding the use of those funds. For questions regarding the Advisory Council\, email StopOverdose@Maryland.gov. \nThis is a special session featuring a workgroup specifically focused on funds received from a settlement with Mallinckrodt. \nFriday\, June 5\, 2025 (virtual)\nTime: 9:00–10:00 a.m.\nMeeting Link \nMeeting Recordings: All meetings of the Opioid Restitution Fund Advisory Council are recorded for recordkeeping purposes. The part of the ADA that addresses Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) is the most underutilized piece of the law. \nKnowing one’s rights can have a transformative effect on how we live\, treat and care for one another in this country.
